Brookside Gardens, a Montgomery Parks facility, seeks a seasonal employee to staff the Information Desk at the Visitor Center. The position is year-round and requires working alternate weekends. We seek an energetic person who enjoys interacting with visitors in a fast-paced environment. The preferred applicant has an outstanding work ethic and is proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Comfort learning a registration system is necessary. Spoken fluency in Spanish and English required. On the job training will also be provided, as necessary. Position reports directly to the Information Desk Manager.

Examples of Important Duties
Answers general inquiries from visitors to the Gardens on routine informational matters.
Answers phone calls and replies to voicemail messages.
Answers email inquiries.
Creates and maintains records tracking visitation data, survey responses and customer service queries.
Maintains stock and replenishes brochure racks and bulletin boards displaying maps, Cultivate Magazine, program flyers and related items.
Assists information desk manager with monthly volunteer schedule coordination.
Assists with training and managing volunteers to deliver excellent customer service at the Information Desk.
Registers participants for classes and programs; runs program reports; processes program payments and membership discounts.
Works select weekdays and every other weekend.
Additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
Working conditions: Primarily works inside. Must be able to stand for a duration. Works independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. This position will work 24-30 hours a week including alternating weekends.
