Job Summary
Leads an efficient and effective Facilities Services Team. Works with leadership and state agencies to ensure that facility planning, and service delivery programs properly support the mission of CSU and are in compliance with state standards and regulations. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering, architecture, building sciences, facilities management, operations management, construction management, planning, business management or related field.
Five (5) years of experience in facility planning, project design, construction management, or facilities operations.
Three (3) years of leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, architecture, planning, business or related field.
Significant administrative experience in campus planning, facilities planning and capital project development in a higher education or public planning agency.
Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge of building operations dealing with housekeeping, general trades, HVAC, landscaping and grounds, and engineering
Knowledge of recycling programs
Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to building codes, architecture and engineering.
Ability to manage consultants, contractors, financial resources and clients.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, with the ability to both think strategically while successfully managing and improving daily operations.
Strong leadership, organizational and team building skills.
Skilled strategic planning, budgetary and personnel management and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Strong written and oral communication skills and can relate to people from all backgrounds and at all levels of an organization.
A team player who operates with transparency and fosters trust and collaboration within the organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
