I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary:

The Admissions Coordinator, GSEHD position provides customer service to candidates from the prospect stage through enrollment stage. The core responsibilities of this role are typically to answer routine inquiries by phone, email, and in person, to provide information to prospective students on basic academic program offerings and admission requirements, to process and track new applications, to maintain data in systems, to prepare for and participate in admissions events that represent the Admissions function, such as interview days and visits, and to maintain schedules. This position may also recruit for and schedule interviews, order catering, process payments and provide general admissions support. Additional responsibilities include:
Collaborates with admissions and marketing staff to identify and promote unique value of GSEHD programs.
Assists the admissions team in the operational functions of enrollment. This includes processing applications and collecting documents, contacting student for outstanding documents, updating coding for newly admitted students, and participating in activities to yield admitted students. Serves as a first point of contact for individuals contacting the GSEHD admissions team by phone or email. Uses the CRM system to document new student interest.
Manages relationships with applicants regarding GSEHD’s portfolio of graduate programs, the admission process, tuition support programs, and the status of their application.
Provides insights and recommendations, based on recruitment and marketing data and experience, for achieving annual enrollment goals.
Plans and executes admission events, such as information sessions, preview days, and other student events, and represents the university both on campus and off campus at events in support of GSEHD and University-wide admissions efforts.
This role requires occasional evening and weekend work.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with CRM database and application software, including implementation and upgrades. Preference for Salesforce.
Customer service skills, including the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals including prospective students, faculty, alumni, staff, and current students.
Experience coordinating and executing in-person and virtual events. Familiarity with virtual event platforms (e.g., Webex).
Experience in Admissions, Student Services, or Marketing is a plus.
