Join the Mizuho team as a Fixed Income Application Support Analyst!
This is a technical role supporting a Fixed Income Trading desk. The candidate must have experience in Fixed Income and be able to face off directly to traders. The candidate should also have experience in a least one of our major applications: ION, TOMS, Helix or Impact and aptitude to learn the others.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provide front office support for various trading applications.
• Execute test plans
• Troubleshoot and maintain electronic trading networks connectivity
• Work with multiple vendors to support different applications (ION, Broker applications, Bloomberg, Impact, etc.)
• Install, configure, test, deploy and upgrade software to the ION trading platform.
• Perform BA work; create specifications, project plans or other light project work.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of two to three years of experience supporting Fixed Income traders (i.e. Repo, Treasuries market making, etc.)
- Understand the trading activities and market data feeds (e.g. BrokerTec, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, etc.)
- Basic understanding of databases, queries/SQL.
- Ability to multitask several ongoing issues. This involves the ability to assess priority and make appropriate decisions quickly and effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Nice to have Qualifications:
- Development experience is a plus.
- College degree is a plus
- Prior programming experience is a plus

The expected base salary ranges from $105k-$160k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
