Job Summary:
Ruggable is looking for a Product Manager who will oversee the design, development, launch and iteration of our data and analytics infrastructure. The Product Manager will be a key member of the data team and serve as a player in Ruggable’s growth. You’ll partner directly with a team of in-house data and analytics engineers and work with other data and analytics stakeholders around the company. The position will be based either in our headquarters in Los Angeles, CA or Chicago, IL.
What You’ll Do:
Play an integral role in defining the short-term and long-term marketing analytics strategy for Ruggable’s suite of data products and data lake
Own and be responsible for the end-to-end process of planning, execution, testing, and overall success of technical data and analytics projects
Plan, document, and articulate product strategy and plans to internal customers and stakeholders
Ask questions and review SQL built by data stakeholders to support the articulation of the problem and recommend optimized data model solutions
Understanding and driving business objectives and results, while designing and enforcing build of sustainable data and analytics solutions
Delegate tasks and enlist support from project managers, data analysts, other stakeholders while maintaining overall initiative deadlines
Make informed decisions on when to apply a short term or long term approach to problem solving
Work directly with engineers to launch new products and features, test performance, and iterate quickly meanwhile bridging the gap with other key stakeholders
Use aggregate SQL to QA test accuracy of data sets and models, and articulate how to use data sets most effectively in BI tools like Looker
Build and foster relationships with stakeholders and gain an intimate understanding of pain points of our end users to understand which problems to solve, how, when, and why
Be able to learn the overall data architecture of Ruggable quickly and ability to diagnose areas for improvement and digest problems presented by business partners
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of tracking pixels, tags, and events on our website to ensure accurate data collection and reporting
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
Technical Background (Bachelor’s Degree: computer science, or mechanical/industrial engineering, business or related field)
1-2 years of product management experience (ideally at a consumer or retail tech company)
Feel very comfortable using SQL at an advanced level to quickly analyze different datasets to drive key KPIs and perform QA
Worked with marketing analytics and event-collection platforms like Google Analytics, Heap, and Optimizely
Proficiency in Atlassian Suite: Jira, Confluence
Ability to write clear epic/PRDs and ability to translate that into user stories/acceptance criteria
Background in leveraging a wide variety of third party systems (Shopify, DataDog, AWS Redshift, BigQuery, delta files etc.)Ability to document articulate product plans
Knowledge of data modeling processes, approaches and platforms leveraged
Understanding of how users interact with and experience using BI platforms (Looker)
Preferred:
Experience working at a company in growth phase
Experience working with data and/or analytics engineering teams and a basic understanding of data systems (e.g. data warehouses, ETL/ELT, Airflow and orchestration, DBT, Spark)
Experience working with Marketing teams (Acquisition, Retention, Growth, Insights)
Experience working with Marketing data directly (media channels, digital insights platforms, customer journey)
Product Owner/PMP Certification
Compensation:
$110,000 - $125,000 per year base salary
An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
