Payroll Coordinator $24.00 - $27.00 Hourly General summary of duties: This position is responsible to coordinate, track and document all aspects of timekeeping for NCTI, IHM, College of Emergency Services, and GMR Learning locations. As well as to prepare, review and analyze various payroll reports. Supervisor: National Manager of Business Administration Duties include but are not limited to the following: Job responsibilities and knowledge Collect and enter timesheets. Reconcile timesheets against staffing calendars. Process incoming preceptor payments. Receive, verify, and update work schedules in Kronos. Reconcile all timecard exceptions, such as missed punches, late punches, early punches, overtime, etc. Perform PTO audits on individual employees, as needed. Process Vendor check requests. Calculate and prepare all manual check request forms and forward to Time & Wage Supervisor for approval. Distribute/mail physical checks to employees, as necessary. Understand commonly used payroll concepts, practices, and procedures, including FLSA and overtime laws, as well as how to calculate FLSA rates and overtime pay. Complete bi-weekly labor audits, per program; identify variances between actual labor expense versus budget; report ratio discrepancies. Conduct simple analysis and produces various types of ad hoc reports as requested. Gather payroll data for inclusion in financial statements and month end reporting to include payroll reclassifications. Meet all payroll processing deadlines. Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Address employee pay-related questions or concerns Perform other duties as assigned. Utilizes tact and appropriate problem-solving process when dealing with issues identified. Relays concerns and initiates problem solving in a timely manner. Demonstrates accuracy and proficiency in use of computer and software programs used by the organization. Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations. Experience: Experience with payroll / timekeeping functions preferred. Two years of experience in an administrative position and strong data entry functions. Intermediate to advanced MS Excel.
