Overview
Within the framework of the Advancement Office and under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Advancement Coordinator provides key administrative support to St. Joseph’s Villa’s fundraising activities that help advance its mission to serve children with special needs and their families. The Advancement Coordinator is a member of the Advancement Team and is primarily responsible for supporting the department’s daily operations and special events
The position works closely with all members of the team and performs all work safely, in accordance with the highest professional ethical standards, and in alignment with St. Joseph’s Villa mission, values, and guiding principles.Work is performed collaboratively with and in support of other services offered by St. Joseph's Villa.
Responsibilities
Support the Director of Development and other members of the Advancement team to meet and exceed departmental goals while learning and practicing fundraising and marketing essentials and best practices;
Responsible for gift and constituent data entry in Raiser’s Edge database;
Coordinate and produce all gift acknowledgments and pledge reminders;
Produce gift/donor activity and budget reports;
Work with Director of Development and Director of Marketing Communications to ensure that all Advancement materials are up to date and supplies remind in stock for department-wide use;
Provide support for meetings, tours, and special events by leading hospitality, scheduling, resource reservation, materials, moves management, and tracking follow up;
Provide office management and administrative support to the Advancement team - order supplies, process invoices and receipts, submit and follow up on necessary work orders, answer phones, take and deliver messages, reply to basic inquiries, and greet visitors;
Assist the Director of Development’s management of the Villa’s Advancement Committee as needed;
Support the Community Engagement Office by helping coordinate volunteer events and accepting in-kind donations;
Maintain donor files (physical and electronic);
Assume responsibility for professional development including meeting all mandated standards and staying abreast with relevant technology;
Represent the Villa in a professional and proactive manner to Board and Committee members, donors, and community partners;
Attend scheduled training programs, including trainings required by St. Joseph’s Villa and by regulatory and accrediting bodies;
Adhere to the highest standards of professional integrity, the AFP code of ethics, and all laws governing fundraising activities;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail required.
Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred.
