We are responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, media, compute, and display) hardware, intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering.
As a SoC Design Validation Engineer, you will work in the verification team for discrete graphics SoCs. The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
Can create and drive the creation of test plan and testbench architecture documents from specification
Can generate directed and constrained random tests
Has experience with emulation/FPGA based verification
Expert knowledge of UVM methodology, SystemVerilog, Verilog
Good understanding of industry standard interfaces
Experience in reusability and portability of UVM testbenches
Proficient at collaborating with adjacent teams, design, architecture, silicon validation
Experienced in low power verification and power aware simulation environments
Experienced with formal verification
Adept at writing coverage models and defining coverage space, can analyze and improve design coverage
Capable of building automated flows, working closely with team members to improve them.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:?
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 5+ years experience, or
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 3+ years experience, or
PhD Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 2+ years experience
Plus relevant years of experience in three or more of the following:
Strong verification experience using UVM
Strong understanding of design concepts and ASIC flow
Hardware architectures, system level IC design implementation, and knowledge of how to create end use scenarios
IP level or Soc level experience
GPU development experience in power management, peripherals, datapath verification or PCIe Protocol is desirable
Hands-on experience with verification tools such as VCS, waveform analyzer and? third-party VIP/BFM integration (e.g.. Synopsys VIPs)
FPGA prototype emulation, and debug experience
Silicon validation, failure analysis
Automation script development and optimization (using C, Python, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
Good understanding of processor-based SoC level verification
Good understanding of AXI-AMBA ?protocol variants is desirable.
Good knowledge of validating system level designs based on embedded processors and peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART
Knowledge and experience in embedded firmware and or software development is big plus
Functional knowledge and experience in JTAG is a plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in
US, California:$123,419.00-$185,123.00
Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
