About you and this role
Dow’s Glycol 2 facility within Louisiana Operations has an exciting opportunity for an ODMS Coordinator in Plaquemine, LA. As the ODMS Coordinator, you will support the organization in maintaining the Operations Document Management System (ODMS) and ensure that the ODMS is effectively utilized and value creation is maximized across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the ongoing support of the ODMS across an organization.
- Provides support as needed to the Senior Unit Operational Excellence Leader.
- Provides support and advice as needed to the organization ODMS Leader.
- Ensures effective links between Business/Function Element Focal Points and the Dept/Plant Element Focal Points.
- Obtains support for the management system and improvements from organization leadership Leads overall ODMS “sustain and improve” efforts for the organization.
- Coordinates and works with other ODMS support “sustain and improve” the ODMS.
- Act as the organization subject matter expert for the overall management system.
- Drives the Plan DO Check Act cycle of continuous improvement for their organization.
- Defines resources needed to ensure the management system brings value to the organization.
- Assists the organization leadership team in the identification and assignment of Element Focal Points.
- Helps Element Focal Points identify and prioritize opportunities.
- Participates in the training of Element Focal Points.
- Participates in the Management System Review process for their organization.
- Measures and tracks management system performance (i.e. reduction of unplanned events).
- Leads implementation of ODMS changes within the organization.
- Coordinates ongoing efforts to maintain the ODMS system, reduce unplanned events and maximize value from ODMS use.
- Participates in appropriate ODMS networks to improve management systems.
- Leads the organization’s self-assessment process.
- Ensures completion of action items from self-assessments.
- Serves as Glycol 2 Management of Change (MOC) Administrator and Coordinator for EOEG, Amines, Peg_Surf and GE/PEG.
- Ensure all MOC records, documentation and other related documents are completed for each change and stored appropriately.
- Ensure that temporary MOCs are returned to their original state before their expiration date or MOC is extended prior to expiration.
- Regularly monitor and communicate the progress of the organization's MOCs.
- Make changes to the organization's MOC process to keep it up-to-date, including updating the L3 MOC Procedure and associated documentation.
- Review MOC Records for compliance to the Dow Record Management Policy.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma/GED/equivalent is required. Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree) preferred.
- At least 5 years of manufacturing or other related experience required.
- Ability to work comfortably and safely at elevated heights. Candidates must be familiar with, or willing to undergo training in, the proper usage and maintenance of safety equipment to ensure safe movement and operations at heights.

- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong knowledge in Operating Discipline Management Systems – CAPA, MOCs, Training, and audit management.
- Demonstrated continuous Improvement focused.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong knowledge of the WebMOC and MOC Summary tools.
