Staff Accountant II – Property Management Accounting
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant II to join our growing accounting team. The accountant will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager to ensure that all accounting for the portfolio is performed accurately and timely. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This position will have a Hybrid Remote schedule both on-site in our San Diego office and working from home. Candidates should reside within commuting distance to our San Diego, CA office in the Sorrento Valley area.
Education/Certificates:
Experience:
2+ years of relevant experience in accounting
Real estate experience a plus
Affordable Housing experience a plus
Yardi and Timberline experience a plus
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment
Must be highly detailed, deadline oriented, and organized
Effective verbal and written communications
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external business associates to promote positive professional working relationships and environments
Essential Duties:
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to investors and lenders
Complete monthly and year end closing procedures
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and roll forward schedules
Prepare journal entries
Prepare audit work papers and provide supporting documents
Prepare monthly debt service for processing
Select invoices for payment
Assist in budget preparation
Assist in processing of distributions
Other duties as assigned

Estimated Rate of Pay:
$66,560.00 - $70,000.00
This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary.
The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
