Special educators have the unique opportunity to inspire students to achieve their educational, social, emotional, vocational goals and a life of value. Special education services consist of adapting instruction to meet the unique needs of students that cannot be met by modifying the regular instructional program. Special education instruction often incorporates related services to meet the educational needs of the child.

Comments and Other Information
PVUSD offers the following incentives:
The District will provide a $2,500 signing bonus to teacher candidates in the areas of mathematics, science, and Special Education.
a. One-half of the stipend will be paid at the end of the 1st semester or equivalent days the employee is employed by PVUSD.
b. The second half of the stipend will be paid at the beginning of the second year if the teacher is employed with PVUSD.
c. The stipend will be pro-rated for late hires and by FTE
d. Teachers hired on a STSP, PIP, or Waiver will be paid the full amount of the signing bonus at the beginning of their Internship year
1. If a teacher earns their intern Credential Mid-Year, the full stipend amount will be
paid at the beginning of the subsequent year.
e. This will sunset on June 30, 2025 unless extended by mutual agreement of the parties.
-Masters and Doctorate degree stipends of $2,142.
