Job Description Summary
The Virtual Reality Developer is responsible for creating immersive virtual reality experiences within the university library’s lab. This role involves developing VR applications using tools like Unity, managing VR equipment, and collaborating with other team members.
Specific Duties
VR Application Management and Development
Provide workshops and trainings to faculty, staff and students.
3D Modeling and Graphics Design
User Experience (UX) Design
Other duties as assigned by Library professional staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Willingness and interest to learn new technology.
Familiarity with 3D modeling or graphics design.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for emerging technologies and virtual reality.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of VR principles and best practices.
Knowledge of library operations and user needs.
Proficiency in Unity and C# programming.
Benefits Summary
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
