The Nurse Educator utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care for the patients and care givers. Qualifications Requirements: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients and general public. Ability to manage stress and handle multiple priorities. Must be capable of making decisions under pressure and managing anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. Able to effectively teach nursing staff at all levels and varied experience to assure competency. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations" Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated clinical experience as a Registered Nurse Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN completed, Master’s Degree completed or in progress. BLS, ACLS, PALS (current upon hire) Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of California. NRP as required by specialty on hire, or course completion within 90 days of hire. CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
