The Data Center & AI Group serves the industry and our ecosystem partners with innovative hardware and software solutions that encompass CPU, GPU, XPU ingredients, while simultaneously evolving to deliver scalable systems that encompass compute, connectivity, memory, security, sustainability, and other foundational platform technologies required to be efficiently scalable, easy for developers and deliver meaningful solutions for business outcomes.
The rapidly maturing technologies of the Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Group needs proactive technical leadership to innovate and build cohesion, and trust. It’s imperative that Intel and the data center lay the critical technical foundations and architectures, targeting and encouraging customers to make key inflections on Intel platforms, utilizing Artificial Intelligence. The leader will be a proven pathfinder to steer technical collaboration across partner groups to build strong relationships with customers around co-innovation. The leader in this role will directly report into Intel’s Executive Vice president and General Manager of the Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Group.
The DCAI Chief Architect will be chartered with driving the entire data center strategy from full systems, through clusters, software, developer tools, down to Chip/SOC, and core IP blocks. This leader will lead a small team that works closely with the engineering architects across the business to ensure that there is alignment and execution for the business. This leader will also oversee the pathfinding pursue by the business and help shape and set industry standards and open-source projects for the group. The successful candidate will also be responsible for standards of engagement database.
Responsibilities:
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape.
- Advise on technology disruptions and what impact/opportunities they represent for Intel.
- Drive technology choices with respect to product and platform roadmap decisions.
- Pathfinding at cross-products / systems level.
- Direct Intel Labs investments to better align research to product/segment priorities.
- Own and drive collaborative relationship with product development (HW, IP & SW).
- Build strong peer relationships with customer CTOs.
- Be a voice of and to the customer on co-innovation agendas and; joint path-finding efforts.
- Foster close customer engagements to deliver architectures that create innovative solutions.
- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
- Take strong leadership role, partnering with Intel CTO organization to drive external open-source project and relevant industry standards bodies strategy to drive adoption of Intel based technologies.
- Interface with the AI Software Advanced Technology group to conduct technology research.
- Engage with technical leads across various domains covering IP, SoC, Package, Platform, Software, Validation, Manufacturing, as well as with Program Managers.

- Previous working experience across a multitude of executive roles and experiences.
- Mix of broad technology knowledge in Datacenter and Artificial Intelligence.

- Industry experience and savvy in recognizing external market shifts and technological trends, translating them into competitive opportunities/threats, and mobilizing the technical community to act.
- Track record of performance impact, results and outcomes.
- Deep understanding of data center business. Deep technical experience across AI, Cloud, Silicon, Software, Memory, Networks and Systems
- Experienced leader of people, able to create a vision, inspire and build followership. History of developing others.
- Cloud-scale experience – ideally with experience at a leading Cloud customer
- Deep technical experience and proven results driving business outcomes
- Combination of technical background and market acumen; organizationally adept, networking capabilities and technical depth/experience; ability to work seamlessly with leaders at multiple levels in the organization
- Proven experience in building high-performance teams, developing leaders and driving necessary organizational change to transform Datacenter’s and Intel’s culture
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with 15+years of relevant experience
