We are currently seeking a Sales Manager, Americas to join our Content Licensing team based in our New York, New York headquarters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Director of Content Sales, Americas with AMC’s content licensing efforts across the Americas.
Support Director with key content licensing partnerships across the territory.
Research, identify, analyze, and pursue new international sales opportunities and partnerships.
Assist the development and implementation of sales strategy and title specific sales plans in relevant territories.
Passionately represent AMC content to potential buyers at international markets, sales events, etc.
Contribute to internal greenlight process by helping Director produce sales estimates for future productions and acquisitions.
Assist with the building and maintenance of meaningful relationships with key clients, develop a thorough understanding of key partner programming needs, finding the best, highest-value home for each title in each territory.
Develop understanding of trends and embrace new technologies to generate more creative sale strategies and optimize sales.
Work closely and collaboratively with AMC departments to document and manage rights availability and evaluate sales opportunities against key internal programming priorities and revenue goals.
Work closely with media operations to oversee an effective and efficient localization and delivery process for outgoing content.
Work as a key part of the sales team to ensure a dynamic, creative and goals orientated sales organization.
Display passion and interest for AMC content and the role that suggests potential to take on responsibility for direct content sales in territory.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in a distribution coordinator or sales role, ideally within the Americas, with a strong preference for the media and entertainment industry. A passion for television and film.
Proven sales track record is a bonus.
An understanding of entertainment industry rights, and both existing and emerging business models (broadcast TV, SVOD, AVOD, FAST, etc.)
Drive and tenacity to open doors and build lasting sales relationships.
Understanding and appreciation for the technical aspects needed to do holistic deals; proven ability to delve into new subject matters and quickly assimilate new levels of understanding.
Exceptional work ethic – ability to work long and flexible hours when required.
Reputation for conducting business with the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
Ability to travel when required, particularly for sales meetings, content markets, industry trade shows/events and, if applicable, AMC networks office locations.

The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience.
