Job Summary:
Our associate veterinarians are invaluable members of our hospital team, who work directly with the Managing Veterinarian, Hospital Manager and support staff. This team member advances the quality of medicine in the practice and provides exceptional service to both clients and patients. Specific job responsibilities include:
· Building long-term, sustainable relationships with clients as partners in their cats’ lifelong care;
· Performing physical examinations and diagnostic, medical, surgical and dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care using cat-friendly and fear-free practices to minimize patient stress and discomfort;
· Communicating with and educating clients on topics including diagnoses, treatment plans, preventative health care, and nutritional needs;
· Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring all necessary logs are kept accurate and up-to-date through established protocols;
· Remaining current on contemporary medical information and changes in feline veterinary medicine;
· Assisting in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the finest care and exceptional client service;
· Presenting a positive image of the hospital to the professional community and to the general public.
