Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in nursing
OR
Bachelor’s in nursing
AND
Master’s in health education or health science
AND
Hold a current or be eligible for a California Registered Nurse License AND one year of full-time employment as a Registered Nurse
AND
Demonstrated knowledge of specific discipline; knowledge of instructional needs of community college students
AND
Demonstrate a sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities
Assignment may include teaching courses in clinical/theory classes in the ADNand/or VN programs as assigned during day and evening hours. Have a commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth in the fields of teaching. Other professional responsibilities and activities normally expected of members of community college faculty as described by Board Policies and the California Education code.
Foreign Degrees
Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an Evaluation Service prior to the closing date. Certification must be attached with copies of transcripts.
License Certificates/Credentials
Desired Qualifications
Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing and gerontology and/or psychiatric nursing and/or obstetrics/women’s health and/or pediatrics.
