We are seeking a highly driven and creative Senior Associate Scientist to join an exciting new research group investigating B cell biology. We study methods to elicit robust B cell responses as well as develop approaches to characterize and isolate B cells of interest.

As a Senior Associate Scientist, a typical day might include:

Optimizing strategies to elicit robust B cell responses in vivo
Characterizing B cell development in genetically engineered mice
Developing approaches to characterize plasma cell responses
Designing and performing in vivo mouse immunization studies
Running ELISA-based assays to measure antibody responses
Carrying out multi-color flow cytometry staining and analysis
Maintaining primary cell culture
Presenting data in small and large group settings

This role might be for you if you:

Are able to drive a project from designing and performing experiments through interpreting data and making figures
Are highly organized have experience managing a project, including maintaining an up-to-date lab notebook and detailed records
Have critical thinking skills with appreciation for rigorous optimization and controls
Are able to work collaboratively and are adaptable based on the evolving needs of the group

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must have at least a BS/MS and least 3 years of relevant experience in immunology or a related field. Must have experience with vaccination, tissue isolation, blood sampling, multi-parameter flow cytometry, and ELISA. Knowledge of B cell and plasma cell biology, as well as experience in primary culture of B cells and plasma cells, is a plus.

Salary Range (annually)

$77,600.00 - $126,600.00
