We are currently seeking a dedicated and results-driven Continuous Improvement & Lean Manager to join our Curtis Manufacturing Plant. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading our efforts in streamlining operations, enhancing workflows, and driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout our organization. Your expertise in Lean methodologies will be instrumental in optimizing processes and delivering outstanding value to our customers, stakeholders, and team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee the increased maturity of the Continuous Improvement and Lean principles of the operations across all the Wilbur Curtis portfolio of products.
- Contribute to the yearly continuous improvement plan construction and actively monitor progress against the plan, while providing support and recommendations when target plans are not be met.
- Play an active role in all the site’s continuous improvement projects and lean workshops.
- Develop/grow the teams within the context of the LEAN system.
- Ensure the evolution of the LEAN Guideline by activating the workflow of best practices.
- Ensure the evolution of the LEAN Guideline by improving processes and procedures.
- Be involved transversally across the organization, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Participate in the network of LEAN managers in the field of operational excellence.
- Manage local communication and the various events linked with operations at the site.
- Evaluate, implement, and guarantee the right application and use of proper tools, processes and guidelines at the site.
- Manage (plan and adjust) all manufacturing means to ensure the production improvement plans by complying with Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Set up and improve the processes and all manufacturing means including routing and working instructions to ensure the right plant capacity level.
- Improve the industrial performance continuously to reach the best SQCDI level.
- Maintain and ensure good working conditions of technical manufacturing resources to ensure productivity targets are met.
- Ensure and promote the prevention of professional and environmental risks.
- Manage physical and information flows to ensure the production plan targets are met.
- Ensure the right quality level at each production stage, from procurement to delivery.
- Organize and manage the human resources and promote a favourable social climate to ensure the production plan targets are met.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent level obtained through professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and production of small electronics and/or operational excellence.
- Experience in the use of continuous improvement tools (5S, SMED, AMDEC, 5Why, etc), and statistical methodologies (test plans).
- Understanding and management of progress plan processes & procedures (Cascading Groups, BU, Site).
- Understanding of continuous improvement and lean tools.
- Specific skills: Certified Green Belt or Black Belt Lean 6 Sigma.
- Strong statistical mathematical skills, with proficiency in Excel.
- Strong presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Ability to focus on understanding and exceeding customer expectations.
- Ability to lead and manage change.
- Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts to achieve a consensus and objectives shared by the entire organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and influence teams across all departments within the spirit of operational excellence.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure the maximum efficiency of resources (people, equipment, tools).
