Toward this goal we have successfully gained FDA approval for five medicines, we are always conducting new clinical trials, and we are working to create an unlimited supply of manufactured organs for transplantation.

How you’ll contribute
The Senior Benefits Analyst will provide day-to-day support in the management of our broad suite of our global employee benefits, including the deployment and administration of a high deductible health plan, and leave management programs. This position is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in our Silver Spring office and 2 days remote.
- Function as primary point person and subject matter expert for all medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, group life insurances, STD and LTD and 401k employee questions and liaise with benefit vendors as needed, with support of Senior Benefits Manager; Support benefit changes in a timely fashion and in accordance with UT policies
- Manage day-to-day leave administration for employees and coordination with our TPA
- Support benefits related integrations, in partnership with Benefits & HRIS leadership, ensuring accurate information passed timely between relevant systems
- Prepare payment of all benefits related invoices and proactively address any issues
- Support communication strategy around benefits and related activities for all UT US based locations and remote employees
- Ensure data from MOTUS and taxable fringe benefits are correctly accounted for with eligible employees
- Support the maintenance of HR benefits documents, ensuring they are up to date for team use and ensure HR intranet content for employee use is up to date
- Manage submittal, review and execution of HR contracts related to benefits with Legal
- Manage day-to-day administration of global benefits programs, including invoice management, renewal reviews, documentation support and audit
- Support HR project initiatives as needed
- Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations governing employee benefits, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements; Ensure all work done is in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Provide support as needed with planning employee benefit events (examples include wellness fairs, flu shot events, activity challenges)
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR programs and company-wide policies, procedure and guidelines

For this role you will need
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in Benefits administration
- Experience using HRIS and Benefits Administration
- Thorough knowledge of benefits-related laws and regulations, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements
- Thorough knowledge of leave-related benefits programs, laws and regulations, including FMLA and other state paid and unpaid family and medical leave laws, ADAA, USERRA, STD and LTD
- Minimum intermediate skill level using the Microsoft Office products suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex benefits information to employees at all levels.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to achieve objectives and drive results
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience administering benefits and pension programs internationally – Canada experience a plus
- 2+ years of experience implementing, administering, and managing a high deductible health plan
- Familiarity with Workday
This role will require light overnight travel for meetings and conferences.
