A reputable health system in Pennsylvania is actively seeking a Nurse Director Pediatric Operating Room to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position

The Nurse Director Pediatric Operating Room will be employed by a top-ranked health system known for providing care to patients throughout Pennsylvania. This large, academic focused healthcare organization is known for their acute care hospitals, specialty clinics, physician practices, home healthcare, and more. The Nurse Director Pediatric Operating Room will be based out of one of their acute care hospitals that is recognized for their world-class pediatric specialists across both inpatient and outpatient services.

Reporting to the CNO, the Nurse Director Pediatric Operating Room will be responsible for overseeing the Perioperative SUrgical Services department dedicated to caring for pediatric patients. The Nurse Director Pediatric Operating Room will have oversight of the Operating Room, PreOp, PACU, and Sterile Processing areas, and be supported by a team of Nurse Managers, Educators, Staff RN (many are CNOR certified), Surgical Technologists, Sterile Processing Techs, and ancillary staff. In addition to overseeing day to day operations of the department, the Nurse Director Pediatric Operating Room will also be responsible for managing the department budget, policy procedures, preparing for upcoming accreditation and surveys, and department staffing.

The Nurse Director Pediatric Operating Room should be a registered nurse with a clinical background scrubbing and circulating in an OR. Ideally this individual will be a demonstrated leader with some experience also working or overseeing a pediatric patient population.
