Job Abstract

Performs tasks during setup, operation and tear down of various clinical patient simulators, to include high fidelity mannequins, advanced procedural task trainers, basic task trainers, and related medical equipment necessary for providing a highly-immersive training environment. Conducts equipment inventory, basic troubleshooting/maintenance and updates. Operates and maintains audiovisual equipment used in simulation-based clinical training. Accesses and manages project data and documentation in tracking systems with guidance from staff and faculty to maintain accuracy, security, and integrity of data; accesses, prints, prepares, and analyzes periodic and special reports for assigned projects. Assists in the development of metrics, analytic tools and methodologies to assess effectiveness of clinical simulation.

Bachelor’s degree required in computer or information systems. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum three (3) years of experience in a related field.

Ability to provide guidance and advice to staff regarding simulation and training equipment operations, control, procedures, and basic maintenance as well as interface with equipment vendors and technical support staff as needed. Ability to prepare, audit, maintain, organize paper and electronic training files, documents, and records. Follow standardized formats, templates, and instructions. Ability to compile, distribute, gather, audit, scan, and electronically file all required documents to support accredited training events and other activities. Ability to access and manage project data and documentation in tracking systems with guidance from staff and faculty to maintain accuracy, security, and integrity of data; access, print, prepare, and analyze periodic and special reports for assigned projects.Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies 1.
