Title: Associate Creative Director
Location: 1 Washington Park, Newark, NJ, 07102
Duties: Create strategic, conceptual design solutions for customer experiences that are rooted in the brand. Leverage your strength in marketing, UX/UI, and design systems to solve complex business problems with creative design that scales across web, app, and email, as well as globally across marketplaces. Be an advocate for and a practitioner of creative design that is challenging, innovative, and culturally relevant. Ensure creative design adheres to industry best practices across all platforms. Lead internal Creative team brainstorms and concept creation sessions. Manage and mentor more junior creatives, while assessing team talent and working with the Creative Director and Project Manager to allocate resources and assign project work. Act as a steward of the brand to direct and provide feedback to external creative partners and agencies to produce on-brand work that meets stakeholder briefs for a range of surfaces and mediums. Collaborate effectively with creative and marketing partners, and direct designers to develop ideas, experiences, and solutions that: clearly communicate the essence of the Audible experience and raise the bar for what Audible can be; leverage human insights, human truths, native behaviors and data; creatively push us to innovate our approach to channels, platforms and other touch points; and, portray the brand and the brand experience through compelling visuals that generate excitement, understanding and engagement across all channels and touch points. Present work, including communication of strategic decision making and rationales, to stakeholders and leadership for approval. Utilize Figma, as a collaborative design and presentation tool, and create reusable marketing templates to gain creative efficiencies. Position reports into Newark, NJ office; however, telecommuting from a home office may be allowed.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's in Design, Interactive Telecommunications, Interactive Design, or a directly related field plus 5 years of experience as Senior Designer, Art Director, Design Director, or Creative Director, including experience working on national brands at an agency or client level.
Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:
Five (5) years in each of the following:
- Overseeing creatives, managing relationships with internal partners, and collaborating with external agencies
- Prioritizing multiple projects to meet challenging deadlines and produce high-quality work
- Demonstrated professional level skill utilizing tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Apple Keynote, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Four (4) years in the following:
- Designing for digital surfaces including websites and mobile apps.
Three (3) years in the following:
- Creating visual marketing for promotions and product feature launches.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
