Position Summary
The Concert Administrator manages operations and services for the Department of Music and Performing Arts Profession’s concerts and recitals. The Concert Administrator is responsible for the scheduling and management of degree recitals and the scheduling of the Department’s annual performance programming in conjunction with the Theatre Use Committee.. S/he will establish and maintain systems and procedures for the department’s concert and recital programming. Develops, implements, and enforces guidelines and procedures that are consistent with School and University policies. Works with Department leadership, faculty, and administrators in managing performance scheduling and communication.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Music, Arts Administration, or equivalent musical training.
Required Experience: 2+ years relevant professional level experience or combination of education and experience. and Must include experience in concert management, concert promotion, and creation of concert program materials.
Preferred Experience: 2+ years Musician or Performing Arts Administration experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of FERPA, Excellent organization, interpersonal and written communication, problem-solving skills. Ability to interact?with diverse populations. Familiarity with word processing,?spreadsheet and database software (MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe PDF, etc.).
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $63,000 to USD $71,000 New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
