Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Developer (Deer Park, TX) wanted by The Lubrizol Corporation, a produce and market specialty advanced chemicals for consumer and industrial application company.
Responsibilities:
- Developing technical solutions for our environmental and manufacturing operations internal customers, including requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and support (applying knowledge of Web development using NET C#, ASP.NET, MVC, LINQ, VB.NET and SQL Server Database.
- Providing support such as troubleshooting application shortcomings and/or performance issues on solutions and escalating issues to vendor(s) as appropriate (leveraging knowledge of SQL, Restful web services & web APIs, JavaScript, ASP.NET.
- Providing expert advice and counsel to business users and IT project teams regarding technology and requirements fit for use case scenarios (apply skills of business acumen with technology capability).
- Adhering to and recommending development standards, naming conventions and industry best practices (Service-Now) and methodologies, including Agile Methods.
- Staying knowledgeable of new technologies (e.g. API Management, Azure, SAAS).
Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related occupation. Experience must include:
3 years of experience with utilization of Service Now or similar ticketing request system;
3 years of experience with Agile Methods;
2 years of experience in any one or combination of technologies: .NET C#, ASP.NET, MVC, LINQ, VB.NET and SQL Server Database; and
2 years of experience in any one or combination of technologies JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
JOB LOCATION: Company’s office located at Deer Park, TX. May also work from home office located within commuting distance to Deer Park, TX office location.
