As a Senior Principal Architect, SAP Manufacturing, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of SAP solutions tailored specifically to our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will contribute to the development of long-term strategic roadmaps for SAP systems, drive digital transformation initiatives, and manage the overall design and architecture of effective SAP solutions.
This hybrid role will require you to be in the office 2-3 days per week. This role can be based out of our Flower Mound, TX; Portage, MI; or Allendale, NJ locations

What you will do:
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategic roadmaps for SAP systems within the manufacturing domain.
- Work with executive leadership to align SAP initiatives with overall business objectives and drive digital transformation initiatives.

- Design and architect SAP solutions for manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business objectives.
- Provide expertise in configuring and customizing SAP modules such as SD, PP, QM, PM, WM, IM, and MM to meet specific business needs.
- Lead and mentor junior team members in SAP architecture, development, and integration best practices.
- Conduct system analysis, performance tuning, and optimization to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of SAP systems.
- Stay updated on emerging SAP technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
- Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as necessary to support project implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in SAP architecture, manufacturing processes, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to industry forums, conferences, and publications to share best practices, insights, and thought leadership in the field of SAP for manufacturing.
- Establish and enforce governance standards, policies, and procedures for SAP solution design, development, and deployment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Lead and guide the business on aligning IT strategy with business strategy.
- Provide knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and prioritizing initiatives
- Manage alignment of project deliverables with business requirements throughout the project and delivery life cycle
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science / Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent field required.
- Master’s degree in MIS or related disciplines preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in SAP architecture and implementation, with a focus on manufacturing industries required.
- In-depth functional knowledge of SAP modules including SD, PP, QM, PM, WM, IM, and MM required.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex SAP projects on time and within budget required.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably Apriso preferred.
- Strong understanding of SAP technical components such as ABAP, BTP (Business Technology Platform), BADI (Business Add-Ins), BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) and PO/PI (Process Orchestration) preferred.
- Experience in vendor management, including vendor selection, negotiation, and oversight of third-party vendors and consultants engaged in SAP projects preferred.
- SAP certifications in relevant modules or technologies are preferred.
