Job Abstract

Adecco is assisting a client in Totowa, NJ in their search for a Machine Mechanic. This is a contract to hire role with weekly pay at $28 an hour. If you are interested and meet the qualifications below, apply now!

Key Responsibilities:

• Observes mechanical, electric and electronic devises in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.

• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

• Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.

• Oils and greases machines.

• Start devices to test their performance.

• May set up and operate production equipment, lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to effect repairs.

• Performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment or facilities per schedule set out by maintenance supervisor.

Essential Skills & Required Qualifications:

• Communication skills

• Hand tools: 1 year (Required)

• preventative maintenance: 1 year (Required)

• mechanics: 1 year (Required)

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
