Job Description
The Barney School of Business is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track position of a Visiting Instructor in Project Management and Operations Management. The position will begin in August 2024. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations Management and Project Management. The teaching load is eight courses per academic year, four in the Fall and four in the Spring semesters.
Candidates are expected to be available to teach on-site and online in both graduate and undergraduate programs. The knowledge of the software recommended by PMI for teaching Operations and Project Management courses is necessary. Candidates will be expected to engage in departmental and college service such as curriculum development, advising, and especially student recruitment in Project Management (PM) minor and certificate programs, as well as other Barney programs.
Excellent teaching skills, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Preference will be given to candidates who have a current PM certification and can demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality teaching.
