CACI is seeking a Technical Trainer to join our Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) Infrastructure team on a contract supporting the enterprise network and infrastructure at the Department of Homeland Security. The Technical Trainer is responsible for coordinating and delivering both in-person and virtual trainings pertaining to network monitoring and engineering tools/technologies. This individual will work directly with the NOSC teams to capture, develop, update, and conduct training courses ensuring the content, structure and follow-on assessments align with learning outcomes and objectives.
The work location for this position is the Nebraska Ave Complex (NAC) in Washington, DC, currently with telework authorized with a signed telework plan agreement. The candidate must live in the National Capital Region (NCR) commuting area (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia area) and be able to commute to the NAC when required.
About the Role:
As the Technical Trainer you will work with various teams and associated leads to create, update, and conduct new hire and refresher training when needed. You will:
Develop training curriculum and lesson plans to support NOSC employee training requirements
Work independently and directly with team leads to gather requirements, coordinate training design and development meetings with stakeholders pertaining to new processes, procedures, and tools.
Build, update, and present in-person and virtual training curriculum as well as follow-on assessments to provide training on NOSC tools and technologies.
Create, update, and maintain all training material including documentation and recordings.
Conduct single individual to large class training, in person and virtually
Be a subject matter expert in all functional areas of the training product suites.
Monitor and track training metrics and evaluation assessment scores, continuously refining trainings based on feedback and results.
Assist in the creation of knowledge articles.
Coordinate the scheduling, logistics and course preparation for all training offerings.
Work along with the QA Business Analysts to review and discuss quality review results of all NOSC work products, identify trends and make recommendations for new training material and courses.
Submit and manage account set up and disable requests for incoming and departing employees.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On-Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred
BA/BS + 5 years of experience
ITIL Foundation certification (not required to start but expected to attain in first six months)
Experience with multiple training approaches: virtual, classroom, online material, and learning content.
Experience in customizing learning material for relevancy of team needs and environment.
Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cohesively with team members to perform successfully as a unit.
Experience using ServiceNow service management software (or a similar tool)
Familiar with Camtasia or other similar products to create tutorials and recordings.
