Responsibilities:
- Attain market sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Monitor daily sales performances and make necessary adjustments to achieve sales budgets.
- Assist with developing, planning and preparation of training curriculum for sales meetings.
- Conduct sales and training meetings with (Assistant Sales Managers and) Sales Consultants.
- Facilitate vendor, product, and installation training as required..
- Assure accurate reporting and handling of Company leads through proper use of available intraday and daily reports.
- Review and analyze individual Sales Consultants’ performance against metrics and stated goals, implement rewards and / or improvement plans as needed.
- Conduct monthly 1-on-1 coaching sessions with consultants.
- Directly supervise Assistant Sales Managers to ensure goal attainment is achieved.
- Monitor and ensure compliance to all company sales policies.
- Ensure Sales Consultants capacity is sufficient to achieve market demand.
- Conduct the onboarding and training of new Sales Consultants.
- Ensure Sales Consultants and Sales Management personnel have the requisite skills, abilities, and assets to support the Empire brand standards.
- Implement corporate sales initiatives to ensure achievement of stated corporate goals.
- Attend or participate in all corporate training sessions.
- Perform minimum of four ride-a-longs per week.
- Creates and exhibits a sense of ownership.
- Creates and supports a safe work environment.
- Other duties necessary or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook).
- Proven track record of success in Shop-At-Home or In-Home home improvement sales environment, preferably with Carpet/Flooring industry experience.
- Minimum of two years’ sales experience and preferably 2+ years staff management - in a Shop-At-Home selling environment.
- Excellent staff recruiting, training, and motivation skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, lead teams, and succeed in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- This position spends a majority of time is spent working on a computer which requires the ability to use a keyboard to enter data (i.e., excel spreadsheets, creating presentations).
- This position spends a good portion of their time working in the field with consultants training and helping to generate sales.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (i.e., training materials, product samples, etc.).
- Ability to speak while conducting information sessions and/or training for Sales Consultants.
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the position physically and mentally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- The ability to report to work on a regular basis.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license to support field activities.
- This position is located in an office setting and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
