Manage and develop team of accounting professionals. \rResponsible for the monthly and annual financial close, including the preparation of the association’s financial statements, in compliance with US GAAP, official guidelines and requirements. \rEnsures proper internal controls are followed and recommends process changes to improve efficiency and/ or address risk. \rManages the relationship with the audit firm and is responsible for the timely completion of the annual audit. \rResponsible for providing regular aging reports and insights to the Membership team to facilitate the monitoring and timely collection of funds due. \rTracks directed funds and grants, providing timely quarterly updates to program leads. \rOversights all accounting related to the PAC as well as quarterly and yearly reports for the FEC. \rIntegral to the performance of analytics; running financial statements and performing flux analysis. \rSupports the Finance arm of the group on the actuals to budget analysis and executive reporting. \rOversees the processing of Forms 1099 and other miscellaneous year end activities. \rWork with audit firm on completing the filing of Form 990 to the IRS and DC Personal Property and Franchise tax returns. \r
