Position Summary: The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR Assistant supports with responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and employment law.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The HR Assistant has partial responsibility for these areas:
Support recruiting and staffing efforts
Assist with the onboarding process by posting jobs, attending job fairs, running background checks, scheduling interviews, verifying I-9 documents, and completing new hire paperwork
Data entry and recordkeeping (including entering timesheet adjustments and maintaining employee schedules in eTime)
Manage all employee personnel, benefits, and training files
Conduct audits and recommend corrective action
Participate in and ensure compliance to SOX and CA Wage and Hour regulations
Coordinate and assist with employee events
Assist with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office
Assist with other various human resources projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills required to interface with employees and management personnel.
Candidates must have intermediate skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be a detail oriented/organized individual with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
High initiative and problem solving skills
Experience with ADP and eTime a plus
Experience & Education
Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resource Management required
Introductory understanding of legal compliance (EEO, FMLA/Worker’s Compensation Laws) preferred

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $19.00 to $24.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
