We are seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead our pump maintenance and repair operations. The Pump Shop Supervisor will oversee a team of technicians, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pump systems, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee all activities related to the maintenance, repair, and testing of pump systems.
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that all pump maintenance and repair work meets the highest standards of excellence.
Manage the allocation of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
Interact with customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the team, and coordinate training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
Maintain accurate records of all pump maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspections, and testing results. Prepare regular reports for management review.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in pump maintenance and repair, with at least [5] years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the field.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
