We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-obsessed Strategic Partnership Manager within our Corporate Strategy Group to collaborate with our Product Management team and key stakeholders, along with our strategic partners to deliver innovative and differentiating solutions to the market.
Responsibilities and Duties
Proactively manage strategic partnership(s) to deliver on business targets.
Define and reinforce Synopsys requirements related to the strategic partners in alignment with senior management goals.
Orchestrate the execution of all elements of the strategic partnership process: from proposal, term sheet review to partnership agreement.
Provide iterative improvements within partnerships and processes and provide recommendations for strategic improvements based on data; drive continuous improvement and innovations through providing and integrating feedback effectively.
Collaborate with customers, partners, and Synopsys cross-BUs team to develop post-deal governance and ensure design, communication, and alignment in the creation and implementation of execution plans.
Ensure the achievement of joint sales targets by working across multiple teams: sales, partner sales, partner marketing, and operations.
Ensure that effective internal processes and legal frameworks are in place to manage and govern the partnership(s)
Ensure that our strategic partnerships and partnership processes are appropriately visible both internally and externally
Develop KPIs to demonstrate achieved business value. Troubleshoot complex issues and course correct as appropriate.
Proactively identify key gaps or dependencies to our partnership success plan and consistently handle and find solutions to those challenges.
Look for opportunities to expand the partnership(s) to other business areas, industries, geographies, etc., in support of Synopsys’ growth strategy.
Qualifications Minimum Qualification
5+ years of experience in business development/partner management/product management driving revenue growth via partnerships
Comfortable leading multiple complex deals simultaneously while managing internal stakeholder expectations and driving deals to timely conclusion.
Proven track record of negotiating agreement terms and developing strategic partnerships.
Experiences with cross-functional project management, and ability to effectively collaborate with internal and partner contacts.
Comfortable communicating with executives and internal stakeholders in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
Accomplished multi-tasker. Excellent organizational skills, able to turn abstract priorities into actionable plans.
Strong program and project management skills, including milestone planning, progress tracking, and other essential project management experiences.
Ability to think creatively, work on complex problems, and provide out-of-the-box solutions.
Use independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
Work independently and regularly provide detailed status updates, raise and resolve issues with urgency.
Knowledge of alliance development, management principles, and processes
Experience with successfully negotiating and restructuring complex agreements, capable of reviewing legal documents/terms, etc.
Strong attention to detail, entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, persistent and collaborative
Excellent organizational, listening, communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualification
Strong understanding of EDA/PLM industry (business drivers, emerging trends, market landscape)
Experience negotiating software license agreements is preferred
Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
Ability to work in a sophisticated, cross-organizational boundary and cross-discipline manner
Ability to work successfully in ambiguous work environments
Ability to develop positive relationships and inspire change
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $125,000-$187,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
