We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our Amazon Generative Intelligence (AGI)s Sensory and ML Builder Services org. We build benchmarking framework to evaluate foundation models performance. The results from the benchmarking framework will be used for informing AGI orgs roadmap discussions and decision, which will benefit all Amazon businesses and customers. As an SDE on our team, you will be working on automated evaluation frameworks for all modalities, all approved datasets for all targeted use cases. You will work with multiple Software Engineers, Scientists, Product Managers and Program Managers to design and develop new ways for evaluating and accelerating Amazon Generative Intelligence capabilities.
You'll measure your success by the quality of your execution, the pace of innovation you help drive, and the increased satisfaction you deliver. Youll write a lot of code and also do whatever needs to be done for the team and product initiative to succeed. This role is highly visible and impactful across AGI org.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
