Full-Time Regular, Day Shift, 8a – 4:30p (Flex) M-F
As a Performance Improvement Coordinator works in collaboration with the System Director of Quality, the coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination, integration, and implementation of the organization wide performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory and accreditation standards. Activities include but are not limited to chart reviews, data abstraction for CMS Core Measures/ Sepsis and other quality outcomes studies, and staff education regarding core measures and updates regarding new and enhanced indicators.
Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)
Conduct Audits
Attend Environment of Care Rounds
Facilitate meetings such as Sepsis.
Performs concurrent and retrospective case reviews.
Analyzes data collected for Performance Improvement initiatives, tracks, trends, and prepares information to submit to appropriate committees.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited nursing program required. MSN preferred.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. Required to obtain CPHQ within 2 years of accepting position.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital setting
Experience with data collection, basic statistics and statistical measurement tools, and data analysis.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
Strong planning, organizational, and change management skills.
Must be organized and detail oriented. Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Power Point (Required)
Evidence Based Practice (EBP) experience given high priority.
Ability to work within established workflows, and public speaking and presentation experience.
Ability to effectively manage difficult situations
