Job Summary
Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of BPSD health and welfare programs and health-related grant program; serve as a resource to District personnel and members of the educational community concerning social service and local youth service agencies; assist in resolving student attendance and welfare concerns; assist school site offices/health clerks; other related functions as directed.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
-Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse, preferably in a school or pediatric care setting performing specialized services in student health and welfare programs
-BA/BS or higher degree in related field
-RN Certificate
-CA CTC-issued school nurse credential (Applicant will need to apply for the credential if they do not already have one in place)
-CA Driver License; Good Driving Record
Pre-K through 8th Grade Elementary School District
Required Documents Include:
- Certificate Copy (Copy of an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in educational health and welfare, school nursing, or public health nursing programs)
- Certification (Copy of a valid California credential authorizing service as a school nurse)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three (3) current, signed letters or recommendation)
- Other (Copy of a valid California Registered Nurse license.)
