Our Bone Marrow Transplant Team is looking to add a Clinical Manager to their dedicated team of caregivers. Everyone in our center has a part in helping give our patients a second chance at life. In your role, you will make sure we are meeting our objectives and goals that are a part of our Transplant Business Plan. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Leading and managing our nurses.
• Ensuring continuing nurse job satisfaction and fulfillment.
• Ensuring patient safety, quality oversight, program development and growth in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Organ Transplant Business Plan.

Responsibilities:
- Leads and manages the nursing component of the Bone Marrow transplant program.
- Ensures continuing nurse job satisfaction and fulfillment through the implementation of appropriate coordinator responsibilities and workload, teamwork and staff morale.
- Ensures patient safety and QA especially in the development of the Living Donor Program (kidney and liver only).
- Establishes QA metrics and foci for CQDirect managerial responsibility of the clinical nurse coordinators and matrix management responsibilities with the managers of the OR, ICUs and inpatient floors (adult and pediatrics).
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- BSN required. MSN preferred.
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Nursing certification in specialty area preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- Minimum five years’ experience in organ procurement or transplantation.
- Progressively responsible managerial experience including hiring, orientation, scheduling and evaluation of employees in a clinical environment.
- Detailed knowledge of UNOS and OSOTC policies and program standards related to organ transplantation and allocation preferred.
- Experience with quality management and quality improvement.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
- Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
