As a Project Specialist C5, you will implement and conduct multiple research projects within the Cleveland Clinic Cardiovascular Coordinating Center (C5).

Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support for multiple project managers, project leads and other C5 personnel in a timely and efficient manner including, but not limited to, PowerPoint presentations, meeting minutes, conference calls and other research activities.
- Performs accurate data documentation in study files including computer clinical trial management database (site management, Clinical Events and others).
- Sets up and maintains study records.
- Assists with accurate data retrieval, abstraction and interpretation.
- Facilitates data collection and analysis for professional presentations.
- Designs, analyzes, and reports on special projects for the Department Manager/Supervisor in the department.
- Assists the Department Manager/Supervisor with personnel functions including training, development of training materials, process standards and work distribution and flow.
- Monitors and maintains records for C5 personnel related to education, training and compliance. In consultation with the Department
- Manager/Supervisor, coordinates and expedites administrative services for the department with other areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Must be self-directed with demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of personal computers in a Windows environment, including word processing, spreadsheet and database.
- Strong organizational, project and time management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Maintains current knowledge of research policies, procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology. High school diploma or equivalent.
- Within 90 days, must successfully complete training in Human Subjects Research (HSR) as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by the Cleveland Clinic.

- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- Minimum three years experience preferably in a healthcare or university setting coordinating projects or multiple functions.
- Previous research experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- High degree of dexterity to perform a high volume of data input and retrieval.
- Normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting, standing and frequent walking, extensive exchange of verbal communication by phone and in person.
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
