Position Description:
The Head of HR Systems & Delivery will provide strategic leadership in designing, implementing, and evaluating complex human resources information systems. This role will develop the HR technology strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and end-to-end processes. This role will oversee the HR management system (HRMS) and other HR systems, ensuring they are maintained, updated, and optimized to meet organizational and employee needs. Additionally, the Head of HR Systems & Delivery will offer technical and analytical support to ensure efficient system operations and lead the HRIS team. Maintaining positive relationships with business stakeholders, system users, and vendors is crucial. This role must be a self-starter with the ability to think and plan strategically, operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple and shifting priorities, and resolve complex issues using independent judgment.
Position Accountabilities:

Project Management: Collaborate with enterprise information technology teams to integrate HR systems with payroll, finance, and customer relationship systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
M&A Support: Assist in M&A activities, including information transfer for payroll, HR, and benefits data.
Vendor Relationships: Foster vendor relationships for respective information system and stay connected to industry trends and emerging technology offerings and best practices.
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of core HR systems, including configuration, implementation, testing, and ongoing support.
Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity in HR systems through secondary validation and audit processes and procedures.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the HRIS subject matter expert and liaison between enterprise information technology and external vendors.
End-User Training: Identify and leverage available resources to ensure that all end-users of HR systems maintain the knowledge to operate them efficiently.
Security and Configuration: Manage system security roles and configurations, ensuring proper data flow and compliance.
Regulatory and Compliance Support: Assist in the data collection and process for required reports, including but not limited to annual AAP (reports/summary), EEO-1 reporting and Vets 100 report, FTE reporting for SEC disclosures, new hire and termination reporting.
System Audits: Conduct periodic system audits to maintain compliance with regulatory and Atlantic Union’s policies.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement HRIS system improvements, leveraging technology to increase operations efficiency.
Position Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, computer science or related field.
Minimum of five to eight years’ management or hands-on system administration experience.
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced knowledge of human resources information systems and a general knowledge of all other human resources functional areas
Familiarity with technical environments including programming languages and databases
Proven organizational, prioritization, time management, process and project planning skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple system initiatives and audiences.
Player coach with track record of building and leading high performing teams.
Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills with the ability to thrive in an independent role as well as a team environment.
Understanding of confidentiality and privacy rules.
Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
