QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. The ability to communicate with and relate to a diverse group of people including clients, community, and other staff. Must have excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of effective de-escalation techniques.
- Comfortable yet diplomatic in enforcing policies and able to prioritize regulatory elements and weigh ethically challenging situations.
- Detail oriented with an ability to analyze data and communicate it in a relatable way for decision making.
- Working knowledge of nutrition and food access issues a plus.
- Ability to keep detailed records and give and follow clear directions.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work well with regular challenges.
Experience:
- Two-three years of customer service experience in a non-profit environment preferred.
Education:
- Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, or a related field.
Direct Reports:
- In the absence of the Program Manager, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
Computer Skills:
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or the capability to learn new computer programming.
- Ability to use widely supported internet browsers.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- Valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
- Valid automobile liability insurance.
- ServSafe Food Handlers certification
Travel Requirements:
- Travel to meetings at multiple St. Joseph Center sites and at community partner locations as needed.
- Car required to carry out job-related essential functions.
- Twice weekly pick up trips to the West Side Food Bank in Santa Monica.
