Senior Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst
An Overview The Senior HRIS Analyst is a lead position and specialist in the City's Department of Human Resources (DHR), supporting assigned departments with their HRIS needs. The Senior HRIS Analyst provides training, support and guidance in the use of Human Resources Information Systems, the processing of HR actions, maintaining employee records, HR reporting, HR department timekeeping, conducts data analysis and ensures accuracy in all systems. This role is the lead position on the HRIS team and provides leadership and guidance to the team and represents HRIS as a subject matter expert.
The candidate should have strong working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, including an understanding of the types of actions processed, how HR data is managed in a Human Capital Management system, data integrity, employee records management, and ability to work in consultation with non-HR departments. Candidates should have experience leading HRIS processes, staff and maintaining interdepartmental relationships. This position will be able to manage their time to ensure that actions are entered in an accurate and timely manner.
The Opportunity Provides leadership and guidance to HRIS team members; Collaborates with interdepartmental partners as the expert and lead in HRIS and the City’s ERP system; Works with assigned departments and their HR Liaisons to ensure that HR actions are entered into systems accurately and in a timely manner; Processes HR actions in the City's HR information systems; Conducts data quality checks to ensure data integrity; Provides training, technical support and guidance to assigned departments and their HR Liaisons for HR actions that are entered and maintained in the City's HR information systems; Participates in, and may manage, data changes and system activities related to HR modules; Assist in the review, testing and implementation of the system upgrades or new functionality; Manages and leads projects; and Performs related work as assigned. Minimum & Additional Requirements
Four-Year College Degree; five years of progressively responsible human resources experience with a concentration in compensation and classification in the public sector, employee relations, or training; five years' experience in Federal, State and City laws, ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to human resource management; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
To be considered as an ideal candidate, one should possess at least five (5) years of experience in HRIS. Strong attention todetail and quality check habits are necessary for this role.
PHR, SPHR, or other professional certification in the human resources field.
