The Corporate Strategy & Development (CS&D) team is responsible for shaping the future strategic direction of the company in addition to managing merger, acquisition, and divestiture activities across RTX.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Administrative Assistant to support the CS&D Executive team. The position is based out of RTX’s Arlington, VA office, and will report to the Executive Director of Corporate Strategy. The role will support a total of 3 – 5 executives along with the broader team for Corporate Strategy & Development, and the SVP for Corporate Strategy & Development, as needed. This role is onsite, with some flexibility to work from home.
Primary Responsibilities:
Managing calendars – understanding priorities, scheduling meetings, resolving conflicts effectively and efficiently
Scheduling all aspects of travel (domestic and international) – available off hours as needed and ensure all necessary documents and processes are followed in advance of the trip
Accurately processing expense reports with timely submission
Processing invoices prior to due date
Resourceful in getting answers to questions and communicating them effectively
Prepare for meetings to include booking conference rooms, escorting visitors, printing materials, connecting Zoom calls, and organizing catering
Maintaining team documents such as contact lists and org charts
Assisting with other administrative tasks that may require learning new systems and processes
Support senior leadership team members and meetings in Rosslyn office as needed
Work closely with the Executive Assistant to the SVP of Corporate Strategy & Development as a team to ensure team has everything it needs to operate smoothly
In addition, be able to participate in special projects, embrace and execute any and all other duties as required or assigned.
Ability to adjust to changing priorities, timelines, and schedules with little notice
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
Experience supporting at least three executives
Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and video/virtual conferencing platforms
Self-motivated team player with desire and drive to learn and grow
Operate efficiently, learn, adapt quickly and anticipate needs
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
Problem-solver with sound business judgment
Excellent relationship building skills to collaborate effectively with all team members (team player)
Forward thinker with proactive mindset and attention to detail
Tech savvy – proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and Zoom
Follows directions thoroughly and maintains confidentiality of any company sensitive information

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
