What to expect for the 2025 Nestlé USA Sales Development Program:
The Nestlé Sales Development Program (NSDP) is designed to accelerate your journey towards a successful sales management career. Join us to embark on an immersive and dynamic program that will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and experiences to excel in the ever-evolving world of sales.
The NSDP offers an accelerated path to promotion for ambitious individuals eager to make their mark in the sales industry. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to learn about Nestlé's renowned brands, diverse categories, and cutting-edge channels of business. Throughout the program, you will rotate through three different roles, gaining invaluable experience and exposure in managing independent sales territories, performing data analysis, and providing actionable insights to drive business growth.
First week at Nestlé USA
Your journey begins with an engaging onboarding experience, where you will connect with fellow program participants and other talented individuals from various leadership programs across the organization. This is your chance to build a strong foundation of business knowledge before diving into role-specific training.
Rotation 1: Sales Representative – Ignite Your Sales Potential (6-month rotation)
As a Sales Representative, you will take charge of a sales territory, empowered to make strategic business decisions that drive tangible results. Your role as an individual contributor will involve implementing data-driven sales techniques and leveraging the power of 4P Excellence to make significant contributions to your territory, thereby impacting the entire organization.
Rotation 2: Category Analyst – Unleash Your Analytical Prowess (9-month rotation)
In this rotation, you will receive hands-on instruction and guidance from high-performing Analysts. You will delve into data analysis, running reports, and translating information into measurable plans that drive our business strategy forward. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse categories, including Beverage, Frozen, Global Culinary Kitchen, Nestlé Premium Waters, and Nutrition.
Rotation 3: Account Analyst – Drive Business Growth 9-month rotation)
Building upon the skills acquired in the previous rotations, you will join an analytical Center of Excellence and collaborate with top-performing Analysts to provide the business with actionable insights and plans. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward and achieving our sales objectives.
Program Graduation:
Upon completing the third rotation, you will embark on an exciting career within the Nestlé Sales Organization. These coveted positions are strategically positioned within the Sales Organization, offering comprehensive opportunities for growth and success. Your previous experience and knowledge gained throughout the program will serve as a strong foundation for your future endeavors.
Where you Work:
Our program offers opportunities in vibrant locations such as Arlington, VA, Cleveland, OH, Cincinnati, OH, Minneapolis, MN, Nashville, TN, or Rogers, AR. There will be 2 trainees in each location, with a cohort total of 12 trainees. 2 trainees from the prior NSDP class will also be in your same location to encourage networking and social relationships. Participants will remain in their assigned location for the entire duration of the program but should be open to the potential of relocating upon program graduation. Our NSDP Program Manager will work closely with you to align your preferences with our business needs.
Education Requirements:
- We seek talented individuals who hold a Bachelor's Degree conferred by June 2025.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Sales Management, Data or Business Analytics, and Agricultural Business are highly valued.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred, reflecting your dedication to academic excellence.
Professional & Leadership Requirements:
- Having previous Sales Co-Op/Internship experience or practical exposure in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is highly advantageous.
- A valid driver's license is required, and your driving record must meet our company's Motor Vehicle Policy if offered a position.
- We also value leadership demonstrated through extracurricular activities or organizations.
Physical Requirements
- You should be comfortable operating a motor vehicle.
- You should be able to handle physical tasks such as bending, lifting, opening, and moving products weighing up to 30 pounds for up to 50% of your time.

- Able to participate in Diversity Leadership Symposium August 13-15, 2024
- Ability to relocate to one of the six locations at the beginning of the program, with a potential relocation at the end of the program
- Travel required
Knowledge & Skills
- We value individuals with excellent analytical skills and a strong command of basic Excel functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, is essential for designing comprehensive presentations.
- Adaptability and a quick-learning mindset are vital in our fast-paced and complex environment.
- You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
