Primary Purpose | Under the supervision of the Executive Associate Dean, supports and advances organizational initiatives and systems, electronic or other, to identify meaningful outcomes and collect, clean, analyze, and distribute data to advance the school’s purpose and strategic plan.

Essential Functions | - Participate in data collection and entry, analysis, reporting, and dissemination through dashboards/reports of comprehensive outcomes data for the school (to include educational, clinical, CQA, financial, fundraising, and other outcomes as needed): collect and analyze data to support faculty and faculty/student research as appropriate and approved by EAD.
- Evaluate all comprehensive school level outcomes tracking systems and suggest improvements to ensure efficient collection, use, and reporting of data.
- Function as a co-liaison for Electronic Health Record:
- Create and modify clinical forms, including assessment forms, in consultation with department chairs, the Office of Academic Affairs, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate electronic patient management system and suggest changes to improve information usage, compliance, clinical and educational outcomes
- Serve in an ex-officio capacity/consult on school outcomes to committees as reviewed and approved with EAD.
- Represent the dental school at local and national meetings at the interface of education, outcomes assessment, data analytics, and technology.
- Complete any additional related work as directed by the Executive Associate Dean.

Minimum Qualifications | Knowledge of: - Building and supporting data dashboards
- Survey construction and analysis
- Best practices in data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python, SAS)
Ability to:
- Integrate data and analytics into support for the dental school mission, vision, and strategic plan.
- Demonstrate proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate data visualization, reporting, and technical writing skills
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of project management experience
- Experience with database management, dashboards, and statistical software
Education: - Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, or related field.
Working conditions:
- Position is full time, onsite, Monday through Friday during standard working hours.

Experience:
- Experience in a health profession setting.
- Dental clinical experience
Education:
- Master’s degree in data science or related field.

- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Hiring Range | $86,749 - $98,884 annually. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
