Overview
SRI Education is committed to bringing rigorous and equitable research and evaluation data to bear on important educational policy and practice decisions that ultimately benefit practitioners, students, and families. SRI Education, in collaboration with the University of Kansas and the U.S. Department of Education, is hiring temporary, part-time classroom observer to conduct classroom observations of 1st through 5th grade classrooms for a national research study.
This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a large-scale study and gain valuable classroom observation skills and experience using standardized observation protocols. This position will begin in August 2024. We will provide training and certification on the observation protocols in August 2024, and observations will be conducted in elementary schools through August 2024 and September 2024. Classroom Observers will be paid to participate in the training and for time conducting observations and other research activities. All travel expenses associated with the work will be reimbursed.
Work will take place in Concord and Brentwood, CA IN CLASSROOMS and from your home.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field is preferred.
Prior experience conducting research and/or working with children in elementary school settings is preferred.
Experience administering classroom observation protocols is preferred.
Ability to work at least 24 - 32 hours per week during typical school hours (8am-3pm) is required.
Reliable car and valid driver’s license is required.
Passing a criminal background check and tuberculosis test is required.
Compliance with school and district-level health and safety regulations is required.
The pay for this role is $25/hr.
