Job Summary
This substitute position includes the cities of Beaumont and Banning.
The position of Permit Teacher – Early Head Start is under general supervision and plans and participates in the care, instruction, and supervision of children in a Head Start Infant/Toddler program; assists in the day-to-day operation of the center; and performs other job-related duties as required, i.e., parent involvement.

Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
Completion of 175 days of experience in an instructional capacity in a child care and development program; working at least three hours per day within the last four years is required and must be verified. (This experience may include paid and/or volunteer work.)
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required. A Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field is preferred. Also must have six semester units in an Infant/Toddler course.
**MUST HAVE SIX SEMESTER UNITS IN AN INFANT/TODDLER COURSE VERIFIED BY TRANSCRIPTS**
CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES:
Possession of a valid California Children’s Center/Child Development Permit authorizing instruction in a Child Development Center Program and Infant/Toddler. (Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for Child Development Teacher Permit.)
