PURPOSE: The International Logistics Analyst works closely with International Order, Cleveland Distribution Center, Freight Forwarders and other stakeholders to ensure the on-time shipment and delivery of export and intercompany orders. Additionally, the analyst will support the auditing, processing and posting of logistics costs associated with both international and domestic shipments utilizing third party logistics software, business systems such as SAP ERP and spreadsheets such as Excel.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Assist in implementing metrics pertinent to Customer Service & International Logistics for driving departmental goals and processes.
- Responsible and accountable for all facets of the international shipping process.
- Work closely with the International Order Department and Cleveland Corporate DC to facilitate international shipments.
- Supervise International shipping activities at the Cleveland Corporate DC and provide backup for the International Logistics Coordinator when needed.
- Analyze and implement corrective action on how to proceed in cases of damaged freight claims and lost or stolen freight.
- Assist with the accuracy and integrity of the transportation payment processing management system for US10 and US40.
- Monitor and arrange Haz Mat training and certifications for International Logistics and Cleveland Corporate DC.
- Work closely with the EHS Department, R & D and Product Managers to provide Haz Mat assistance when needed.
- Assist with day-to-day import and export activities as needed.
- Play a significant role in making proposals implementing solutions, which improve customer service,
- improve the flow of material and reduce costs.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Distribution and Planning.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Level I - Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Business, and/or equivalent experience.
- Level II - Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Business, and 3+ years equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn the international shipping process and procedures.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform extremely detailed work at a high degree of accuracy in a high-volume environment.
- An uncompromising regard for quality and customer service is imperative.
- Able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
