Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Administrator for the department of Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Chief of the Division of Cardiology, the Division of Cardiology is seeking an Administrator to provide support to leadership within the Division. Oversight of all operational, financial, communications and educational activities for a growing department, including research revenue, grants and the management of division budgets.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: - Supervises over-all operations of the division.
- Leads divisional physician engagement initiatives.
- Evaluates new and existing programs, and conducts comprehensive assessment of facility requirements, faculty support, equipment purchases, office supplies, funding, and staffing. Reports findings to Division Chief and Sr. Director of Administration for action.
- Helps operationalizing faculty schedules, projects and new program development, with the approval of the Chairman’s Office.
- Assists in managing the division financial office; performs analyses to identify revenue collection issues, reconciles expenses and develops business plans under the direction of the Division Chief, with final approval given by the Sr. Director of Administration.
- Ensures that financial and management systems are accurately maintained.
- In conjunction with the Chairman’s Office, oversees faculty affairs process for the division including faculty hiring and onboarding, promotions, reappointments, etc.
- Prepares regular and special reports to interpret financial directives and to establish policies for carrying out directives. Implements changes to procedure with the approval of the Division Chief and Sr. Director of Administration.
