The AVP of Brand Strategy and Investment at DIRECTV will be responsible for the attainment of Brand Strength growth within the premium video and enterprise segments. In that capacity, this role will oversee the planning of the ~$22M sponsorships and social budget to maximize business returns of those dollars across the enterprise. This position requires a strategic leader with the ability to excel in a multi-functional position that can design and drive an integrated Brand strategy for both sponsorships and promo social that delivers on business performance indicators (KPI). In addition to possessing a strong oversight of brand management and agency operational programs and roadmaps for all deliverables. The candidate will have demonstrated success leading social channel strategies and execution, end to end partner management and experiential activations, delivering breakthrough creativity, and partnering with internal teams (media, analytics, etc.) to drive activation of sponsorship assets across multiple lines of business.
Additional responsibilities for this critical role include:
- Oversee and refine a team of high quality, talented professionals in the areas of brand partnerships and social, brand management, agency operations, and brand research and analytics.
- Identify needed investments (inclusive of redesigning existing, as well as building new) to maximize ROI of brand sponsorship activities.
- Expand third-party partners across major DTV-wide and BU-specific sponsorships and activations, including business planning, strategy, execution, and measurement?.
- Drive Brand Strength in the marketplace, activating enterprise sponsorships assets and our O&O social channels to drive affinity, traffic, and maximize share of voice.
- Lead brand discoverability, engagement, and relevance through the activation of partnerships, innovation, and audience engagement strategy across physical, digital, and social media?.
- Drive strategic development, implementation, and execution of enterprise-wide social media governance, security, and brand threat management process and procedure supporting brand, corporate communication, and care initiatives.
- Direct the implement brand identity, positioning, and usage guidelines to ensure continuity across all marketing communications, including brand and verbal identity, and brand hierarchy toolkits for the Master Brand?.
- Oversight of the agency operational activities including budge management, liaison across departments including Finance, legal, and multiple agencies to ensure driving accountability and excellence in execution.
- Oversight of the social media and sponsorships governance based on strategic development and evaluation of campaigns and properties.
- Collaborate with internal leaders to develop process of approvals of elements involving the brand usage across key stakeholders (legal, outside partners, PR etc.)?.
What else are we looking for?
- 10+ years of Brand Strategy and Investment, and Marketing Experience.
- Demonstrated history of high achievement thru education, leadership position(s), and other significant accomplishments.
- Portfolio of brand experience – Demonstrate the ability to lead the enterprise-wide brand identity, value proposition, brand health, partnership investment, and long-term brand strategy.
- Analytical – makes data-driven decisions while establishing effective metrics that drive results.?
- Intellectually Agile – able to think deeply and qualitatively about strategy and vision.

- Strategic Thinker - Lead the strategic development of brand measurement, reporting, and trend forecasting with the ability to tell the brand story of DIRECTV, educate the market and drive affinity for DIRECTV products and services.
- Brand Reputation – Proven track record of building solid relationship-based credibility and integrity.
- Return on Investment - Ability to determine which projects/investments will drive the reach and brand influence to translate into business-value drivers and the ability to effectively deliver that narrative to business executives and stakeholders.
- Six Sigma – Knowledge of Six Sigma continuous improvement methodology.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Low (N1): $170,335 - $255,455
Mid (N2): $179,300 - $268,900
High (N3): $197,230 - $295,790
Top (N4): $206,195 - $309,235
